carry handles work fine. The can scratch the finish when you want to take them off, but otherwise they work fine.

Wide handguards only require mods if you have a Cetme barrel. There's a ring up front just behind the triple frame for a model B bipod to attach to (rare as hen's teeth) that keeps the stock from sliding on with ease. You can either take the ring off with a file/grinding wheel, or clearance the inside of the metal on the stock. I chose to do the barrel, but it doesn't matter either way. Receiver won't matter unless you had one of the CHUNKY aluminum FAC receivers.

Do you see the raised portion where the triple frame will install/pin to? If its a Cetme barrel, it will have grenade launcher rings towards the muzzle end, and about 1/2" behind (towards chamber) will be a single raised ring. This is the bipod ring that you could remove and use any stock any time.

Check your triple frame I can't remember but I think it's on there actually not the barrel

The raised ring that Jfowl is talking about is on the triple frame, not the barrel.

If the sleeve part fo the triple frame that contact the barrel extends rearward as well as forward of the sight portion, then the rearward section is what needs to be accounted for.

just grid a bit in the hand guard. thats what i did (not much material had to come out) and that way the hand guard doesnt move an inch.

If i put a g3 triple frame on it would it fix the problem

Yes and no.

The purpose of the extra rings on the CETME triple frame was to hold the handguard form moving fore-and-aft. With the G3 they did away with these, but instead put a clip on the cocking tube with a tube forthe handguard pin to perform the same function. without either of these the handguard can move back and forth on the rifle and be more unstable than designed.
