Took this one a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had used the cetme I had it with me but didn't take it. Oh well next year I guess.

Thanks Ron! I was freezing when I shot it. It just got through servicing a doe on the edge of the field so it died happy!!!!

Good looking buck. It looks to have about 9-10 inch rear tines. What is the inside spread?

That's a beaut.
So what did you take it with, if not the CETME?

I shot it with my daughters new 7mm-08. I had it in the truck and figured that with the deer moving little after the sun comes up I needed a scope so I used it instead of the cetme. It had a 17" inside spread and the G2's were 10.25" and 9 7/8". I'm taking the cetme hunting tomorrow. I will share pics if succesful.

Ok I'm mad. Went hunting today and forgot the camera. I was trying hard to get my son up and ready at 0350 and was having to push him along. He got to sleep the 2 hours drive time to the farm we hunt.
So to start off the morning my son took his second deer again with the M1a a nice doe. 1 shot meat in the cooler. I wanted desperately to use the cetme and in the evening I got my chance. Took a nice doe just at sunset 1 shot 150 yards dropped like a sack of potatos. When I went to retrieve the doe i jumped a buck that was quite a bit larger then the one in the picture. I was hunting a buddies farm and was on a mission to only take does as their numbers are getting out of hand. I did take a bead on it though with the cetme and did the bang sound out loud. It would have been an easy shot. I tell you what the cetme is fast becoming one of my all time favorite guns.

Honestly, that's how I have always planned on going out - if you look close enough, you can kinda make out a little grin of contentment - He was just thinking "ahhh, now that was a great piece of..." BLAM!!!

That buck looks kind of pissed... I'll bet his friends dared him to walk over there...
