i wonder if i can easily replace my synthetic black furniture on my century "black widow" cetme sporty with wood furniture and still be in compliance? any help out there?

you can swap the plastic furniture for wood, but you will have to replace two other foreign parts on your rifle with US made ones to compensate in order to stay in compliance

To be totaly correct, you need to do a parts count on your cetme, to see what is US made and what is imported, the imported parts count needs to stay ten or below. For sure you have currently a us made receiver, buttstock, fore arm, and I am guessing for sure a C marked pistol grip. After that many parts can be US or imported, the three fcg parts used to be commonly US, marked with "C" but century has been know to swap other parts to stay in 922r compliance, they used base plates to get flash hiders on some guns I even believe. Thus look around here on the site, and look at your rifle to see what parts are us and what arnt, do a parts count then look at your options (thermomolds are one for sure).
