Just gonna toss it out there... nice rifle btw, real clean! But I think the plastic wrapped bliter pack ammo is Indian that some distributor took and polished/tumbled and repackaged...... From what I understand it was some of the worst looking of all the batches, and they sorted through it culling bad looking shells... i personally wouldn't shoot anyhting from a possibly bad lot through that fine piece of machinery. Shoot it through the FR-8 or something and keep the known good quality ammo going through the NM.

+1 to jfoul's post. Check the headstamp. That blister pack ammo if it's indian was made without the brittish overseeing quality control. And has resulted in blown up guns. Nice rifle, I hope to get one soon.

here are some pics of the real deal. don't know how they will turn out so just in case they aren't any good the head stamp reads aff and the date. these are 1990. btw real nice looking rifle. hope this is some help. ps the back of the blister packs reads 5 cart 7.62 mm ball f4aff and what looks to be a lot #

That sure looks like the australian bubble pack stuff. The Indian in question is OVF headstamp. BTW, turn off the flash, and see if you have a macrozoom on your camera to make that come out.

Congrats on the very nice looking rifle. The stainless NM barrel and the ARMS mount are a nice addition. Which scope is that on there?

I wasn't aware that Aussie ammo was in blister packs as well. If its Aussie that you picked up and not the blister packed OFV Indian, you can shoot it with confidence. Aussie gets good range reports all over the place.
See if you can pick up some of the heavy Lake City Sniper ammo. It shoots like a dream through those NM barrels. Oddly enough, the best groups shot with the one in "our group" were shot with Israeli ammo, and a lot of guys swear that Israeli is bad stuff.

i have not shot any of this as of yet. i have three 140 rd. boxes of it tucked away with a few more various makers. many of the men where i shot speak very well of it and i have heard of no problems with it.:icon_biggrin:
