Very nice. I'll not ask the 922r? I'm sure you have all the parts count. You need an HK tripple-point sling to go with it. Vector had them cheap if they are still selling them. RTG has them too IIRC.

Thats a oldy that has the original cetme stock set.So I do not think 922r would be a problem.I have the original HK91 sling on the way ! Hopefully it will
show a little age to it.Got to love that been there and done that stuff.

Had to change out a few parts to be 922 compliant on mine, Mostly in the FCG, but I did the same thing. Fitting the damn stock was a gunsmithing job though. It worked only after quite some dremel work and fitting. Looks nice though and sure is nice to actually be able to use the gun again since the Century craptasitic plastic stock cracked at the seams on about the 10th round put through it.

What I used was a strip of 150 emery cloth on the plastic (washer spring retainer) Just sand a little equally around it than try to fit it in the bolt Carrier. You want it to just slide in there so sand easy and keep checking your fit.I did also have to do a little sanding on the hand grip to fit it.All in all it took me about 40 mins to remove the old stock and install and fit the HK stock. It was no rush job and no real problem at all to install.just take your time and do a nice job fitting the washer.Charging seems smoother with the HK butt stock also.I installed a new recoil spring on the cetme stock a while back. But i did test the HK and cetme springs side by side and they both seemed to have the same tension

Washer was the easy part with mine...

I had to remove a pretty significant amount of material from the lower inside of the backplate before it would fit well. The trigger housing on mine seems to be very thick. Problem was not in the reciever only with the backplate and trigger housing jamming up.
FWIW even removing the original CETME backplate was really quite hard to do and always required using a mallet.

sorry if this is dumb

on a CETME ......can u sand too much off the washer..?

i guess what i am asking is grinding / sanding too much off the washer
what effect would it have on the Bolt Carrier Tube

also the grip is too tight i will have to work with that

drine

It is possible to sand too much. What affect if any it will have, I don't know because I haven't done it. The handles should fit without much mods but may be tight. A little file inside the handle will help if you can see where it binds.

found this: might help someone like me lol

And don't do what i did and sand the plastic washer to small. in which caused my recoil rod to much movement and kept catching the bolt on recoil. so now i have to remove the spring collar from my old one and replace on the green stock. Also like otis said a dremel is your best friend in fitting the G3 stock to your Cetme. I took a little metal off the inside to get it to slide on the reciever smoothly instead of jamming it on which makes disassembly a PITA.

My HK butt stock fits kind of tight to. But be careful not to take to much metal
off the bottom edge were the trigger pack is flush with the receiver.A little snug fitting may be better as the trigger pack has to be tight and in position.I would hate to get a surprise after running some ammo threw it and have it to loose

Very true. If you do have to take any material off it should be from the sides first and not so much off the bottom. In my case it was the "ears" on the upper part of the Trigger pack and the area around it that was the problem. It was only this area binding up real bad.

There should still be a rather snug fit. Like anytime that one does things like this the key is to always go light. Always only take off very small amounts of material at a time. Check fit then repeat. Good to also keep in mind that sheet metal receivers tend to take time to break in with new furniture. Don't over do anything. Just do enough to allow maintenance as needed without extreme difficulty. Go real slow and take your time.

Below is an image that shows the area where I needed to fix my backplate so it would fit. Different people may have different issues though. seems like all of these CETME are individual guns.

Very nice, too bad we folks from Commiefornia can't buy them. I tried. They won't sell them to us because as customer states they are "assault weapon parts".:nonono:

I ordered one of the sets just so I could get the rear cap. I'm going to cut it down to make and End Cap for my HK33 Pistol build! The $9.95 and a little work is a lot better looking than the $120.00 HK or $35.00 Choate from HKParts.net.

These pics are from a guy over on Weapons Guild.

Since you guys are talking buttstocks, I bought a couple of green G3 stock kits from RTG. I was wondering if there was a special way to put the green G3 buttstock on the cetme? It seems there is a plastic part in the green stock that the long screw would fit in but wont allow the stock to slide onto the rear plate? If that makes any since.
Thanks,
Craig

WOOT, Got my OD Green stock set in the mail Sat. Will try to get it on over my off days Wed. & Thur.
Hey Badmojo, Ill let you know how it goes...I know you have to do a lil fitting to get em to fit but not sure what yet.

I also ordered a couple of the aluminum G3 mags..just cause they were cheap.
But they fit better than my CETME mags..what gives?:icon_confused: My CETME mags seem to rattle and have side to side movement but they lock in and function fine. The G3 mags fit snug..dont know about function yet.
So, I'll probly order a few more G3s as long as they work.

I was unaware that the green G3 surplus stock sets from RTG wont fit on a CETME. At least the buttstock wont anyway.

The entire assembly will work, just trim the plastic bushing on the recoil guide rod until it fits your CETME bolt. Just unscrewing a stock and trying to mate it to the metal between the two won't work because the buffers are located in different places. Can it be done? Sure, too much work for a part you can get cheaply though.
Also, the G3 has more metal that goes around your CETME receiver. You may need to trim, sand, and/or file some spots to get it to seat.

What Drine said!
The stock I got from CTD did not have the screw in it to bolt it to the buffer. The only thing holding it to the metal part was the two small screws. I'd have thought that the one from RTG would have had that screw since the Cetme one won't work.

This is what I have. It doesnt have a guide rod or screw.

After some modifications , I was finally able to get it to work after a couple of trips to the hardware store.

Hi guys, I just swapped the bushings from one rod to the next. Seemed to work out good. I haven't fired it yet after the swap, but all seems well so far. I did notice that the buffers on the stocks were different sizes. The G3 stock has a smaller buffer than the CETME... is that going to matter? I had to trim a lil on the grip and swap the bushing but was relatively painless operation.

I got me one of them $9.99 specials from CTD and it looked like it got ran over by a lawn mower, what a pile of crap...I know its just $10 and I did use the rear metal end piece for black H&K stock I had so it aint a total loss.

Has any one ordered the stock set from DAN'S SPORTINGS GOODS? The ad reads....."PREMIUM! Handselect HK original Oberndorf. Green or Black, complete buttstock, pistol grip, slimline forearm, pins, screw, sling, cleaning kit. Shipping Included" $39.00. Id gladly pay it if I was sure I wasnt getting JUNK!

As always, it's a crap shoot with CTD. The magazine deal is a prime example. I bought a stock set 2 years ago, same price, and it was very good to almost new. Sling, 6 pins, and a cleaning kit were included at the time.
I was thinking of getting another set and milling out the slots on the fore arm for cooling and painting the whole works sand, or brown, or OD.

The stock and forearm I got from CTD wasn't in horrible shape, just worn looking. But I was missing one of the large pins and the buffer missing the screw holding it to the stock.
It was still worth it for the 2 new pins that came with it and I wanted the metal endcap to convert to an HK53 end cap.
