I haven't posted here in a while, hope everybody's well.
Been tinkering on a Finnish KP-44 kit, (9mm).
Using a Vz58 fcg. Getting close to completion.
This is an SBR and requires a BATF stamp. Uses Suomi stick and drums.

Just finished building one myself. Used a heavily modified AK fire control group. They are tons o' fun to shoot. Yours is sweet looking.

Heck yeah! Let's fire'em up.
I finished this thing today and it runs GREAT!
Bolt has a shorter stroke and shoots madly in semi-auto.
I will have to get a video up when we get out of the sub-zero temps.
Sordid details of Vz58 striker system:

Cool! Uses Suomi mags, you say?
You know, I'm gonna have to just break down and build something. I've been threatening to for a while, but I just dont have the patience... I guess I'll just have to find the patience, because THAT is awesome...

i can single shot my f/a kp44 but the bolt coming forward makes it hard to hold true.
the gun cant hit any thing at about 30+ yards:2pistol:

I was holding mine on target at 50 yds.
Some fairly decent groupings for a plinker.

June 1st 2009, my tax stamp arrives for the KP-44. (120 days)
I know I had it backwards, you are supposed to apply for the
stamp before you build it. Technically, they can nail you for doing
what I did.

So did you use a MGS receiver section? Feed ramp? Trunnion? Or did you fab everything? Definately one I want for the collection!

That's exactly what I used to rebuild it. MGS parts.
It requires some welding for sure. I use mig, with gas.
This was a very technical build. The Vz FCG was a real stretch.
It took some long hours.
