OK. I'll admit it. I AM A SHOTGUN JUNKIE! I really haven't met many I didn't like and tend to have an over abundance of them and when it comes to trap guns, I am absolutely shameless. I found this one and made the deal today and am going to overnight funds so I can get this one in my hands.

Gun is a highly modified Valmet 412 which is basically an improved version of the old Remington 32 and is a close match to the Krieghoff 32. This gun has the Counter Coil recoil reduction system, forcing cones cut to 3 1/2" on each barrel, overbored, wide vent rib similar to a Browning Broadway rib, MagnaPorted both barrels, and 5 choke tubes. And it has great wood which is an oddity for a Valmet. No release trigger for the bottom, but since I am going to use this one to shoot wobble, I really don't think I will need it. If I do, it goes to Kansas to Spears shop for a "fast" release. I'll post later how it shot for me.

Nice man :) I'm still trying to figure out which over/under bird gun I want. I keep looking at the Browning's...but can't mike up my mind. I had a nice shotgun being made in Turkey before 11 Sept....but once that happened my friend couldn't go outside the gate to pick it up.

XO, would like to see pictures of the Krieghoff as I think they are probably the finest target gun on the market today. The design really hasn't changed since Krieghoff started copying the old Remington 32 (which was a lot better gun than the 3200..can you say recall several times?)and is built like a King Tiger tank and won't ever wear out or losen up unlike a couple of Perazzis I have that had to be tightened. That is why I bought the Valmet as the lock up is almost identical to the Krieghoff. I am still kicking myself in the ass for not getting a Krieghoff over the Perazzi but I was young and stupid then.

Tanker, the best way to find out what you like is to go to the local trap and skeet range and start talking to these people about their guns. Most will even let you shoot them and you can get a feel for what you like. Also, keep your eyes open for a bargain at the ranges as a lot of the older shooters would rather sell a nice gun to someone that is going to use it and enjoy it over leaving it to a dead beat son-in-law that will just sell it. And, a lot of the older guns are better made than the newer guns. You can't go wrong with Browning either.
