The Nazi party started out as a quasi-political party which was really nothing more than a gang. Look at what they did. Hell, look at the Bathe party in Iraq... same model, same result.

The mongols and huns kinda started as gangs...the Huns actually rolled in and got ppl from the indigenous population involved...by the time of Atilla's (timely) demise, he had a melting pot of cultures the size of a nation, but nomadic...crazy stuff.
They were a gang, but a highly-disciplined and organized gang.
