Does anyone know of a place to buy empty copper jackets for bullets. Looking for 9mm, and 40S&W jackets.
Thanks

Bullet jackets are formed from either tubing or sheet copper. They are progreesively stamped/drawn to a basic shape and the core is installed. the final forming process occurrs after the lead core is in the jacket. It would be difficult if not impossible to find jackets that are fully or nearly fully formed.

You may want to have a look here:http://www.corbins.com/jackets.htm#jtable
"Corbin stocks 9mm/38 (same jacket size, as the swage dies will expand the slightly undersized jackets to proper diameter) in four lengths, .40 caliber (which works for .41 also), .44 (.429-30) caliber, and .45 (.451-.458) caliber handgun and light rifle jackets."
I found these a few years back after a considerable search. I was interested in making my own frangible bullets since I was carrying Glaser Safety Slugs at the time. I couldn't afford extensive practice with the actual rounds ($2 each!) so the homemade substitute bullets were used for practice and "real" rounds used for carry.
Good luck!
