Dad and I are heading down tomorrow morning at 10:00 to the convention. From what I hear it is pretty awesome.
Anyway, if you within a coupld of hundred miles of St. Louis and looking for something to do this weekend, head on over.
I'm betting k98 is there today...but I'll report back tomorrow night about how it went.

Spent 9:30 until maybe 3:00 at the convention. Could have spent a lot more time, but had to work tonight. I might go back tomorrow if it is raining again. Was worth the price of admission...which was $0 if you were an NRA member...which I am...
Anyway...this wasn't a gun show so no guns for sale, but everyone who is anyone had a booth with Glock, Taurus, Ruger, Springfield, FN, Colt, Remington having some pretty good ones.
Almost too much to describe...you could handle everything there except for the collector section. They had one booth with what had to be 20 or 30 Tommy guns...under glass...if you can think of the firearm, it was on display...if you can think of the firearm accessory, it was on display.
I got to say hi to 'Gunny' at the Glock Tent, but didn't want to wait 1 hour to get his autograph which was what the line looked like...
Also got to say hello to Wayne LaPierre (Pres of NRA)
Over all a great show and am proud that it came to St. Louis.

Samco was there. Wish the guns you ordered from them looked like the samples they had with them!

Vair65 admiring a Rock River Arms AR10.
No sales at the convention. I was hoping on some discounts on ordering, but the best deal I could come up with was free shipping.
The Barrett booth was 10 people deep and seemed to draw the most interest of anything there.

The place was huge, you would need the whole weekend if you wanted to really check out everything and I now have some firearms and parts on my "must own list" Styer Scout one of them. Also got to handle and drool over some I will never own unless the lottery god blesses me! Im glad Hi Point had a booth, I was kinda wondering about there $180.00 .45 and I'll keep my money, thank you very much. It really was an impressive event and was really good to see all the people there! Plus, got to see Gunny. I might as well just get a tatoo of a dollar bill with wings on it if I keep going to gun shows and events like this!

reminds me alot of our SHOT show
was century arms there??
Its funny you mentioned SAMCO having primo examples hanging on there walls, cause ive always fealt the same about the CAI booth at all of there shows. The CETMEs they have on display at the CAI booth at all the big shows are built on primo unissued kits, and someone who actually knew how to weld, and assemble firearms built them all.
If you ask them if you ordered a cetme from them if it would look EXACTLY like the one on the wall, they will tell you yes, same rifle :snicker:
sounds like a cool show

I did not see Century there. Kind of surprising now that you mention it.
I want to come out sometime and see the Shot show. It scares me that my wife would be loose in the casinos while I am at the show though.

i enjoy my wife running around at the casinos - it lets me go do what ever i want to do without any grief - think about that for a minute - how much is no grief worth to you?? :snicker: :D

That's a damn good point Perro. When you get on you're selling spree I'll stop out and the girlie can go to the casino's while we deal in guns. ;)

Century was there, although a pretty small setup.
TAPCO had a pretty big booth. They had rifles with all their tricked out stuff attached. a G3, SKS, AK, 10/22, AR15 all with all the folding, collapsing, lights, laser, slings...they got my vote for most ATAS booth.
The G3 with all the attachments felt like it weighed 30 pounds....
Another good part was all the swag, everyone was giving trinkets away like keychains, and pens. Took home a ton of catalogs and posters.

1+ to that,I ended up with alot of loot also.
I felt it was kind of a once in a liftime evnt for me,unless they come near here again.
Steelcore those scouts have the smoothest action and nicest trigger I have felt on a production gun. When you shoulder it the scope is right on!
