Hey guys i just read through the trigger pack disassembly and I noticed it was for a CETME and I just was curious if it would be the same as a G-3 trigger pack? It doesn't look the same as the pics in the sticky, so is the disassembly different too? Or can i use the procedure for the G-3 and be ok?
Thanks

Well I don't want to interchange them but i do want to take my FCG apart and take the full auto parts out and put my compliance parts back in. I guess that is the question, are they similar enough to use the sticky, or should i just wingit and hope i can get the FCG back together on my own? Kinda like GITER DONE thanks

Try this one for a G3.

The trigger pack is different between the two but the way things are put together are essentially the same. The G3 sticky should work well enough and anything that may be different will be easy enough to figure out.
The first few times I took mine apart I had the luxury of having a comparative piece that I left alone so I could referrence it if needed. Aside from trying to get some springs set right it was a cakewalk really.
Just take a good look at everything before you start tearing it apart. Take a couple of good digital pictures of it at all angles if you have the option.

If nothing else, and you can draw worth a crap(I can't) draw it out with a diagram of where each piece came from and how they went together. I used to do tech support and had people make a diagram of the motherboard then strip it and rebuild it with no problem if they drew it half way good. This was over the phone and these folks had never seen the inside of a computer before, so I think you will do all right. :)

Thanks guys for the input. I think the sight SSwee has is what I have been looking for, it has a lot of information that I will enjoy reading.
Also, this parts kit has a straight cocking tube and i don't know if it is an early G3 tube or a CETME tube? It is not tapered on the end like most of the HK stuff with the strap or band around the cocking tube for the forearm hanger. It also has a plug in the end that is spring loaded and about 3" long, the guy at InterOrdenance told me it was for a bayonet but it is flat on the end and i don't see how a bayonet could be fastened to it. It looks to me more like some kind of recoil reducer, but I don't know, you guys got any ideas on these things?
Sorry about all the dumb azz questions but i don't want to put this thing together as a hodg podg of parts. If I need to get some other parts to make the build right I will and sell what is left over.
Thanks for the help and input

It sounds like the kit you have is an FMP G3 kit from Portugal. The plug in the end of the cocking tube IS a bayonet lug for the G3 as the G3 bayonet has a protrusion on the end that inserts into the spring loaded plug.

Thanks rustypirate, I got the thing under a good light and I think I see how it works. I can force the center to go in with a brass rod, but it only goes in about 3/16 at the most and it kinda binds up. I can see the start of the slot or notch on the inside for the latch to hook to. I oiled it up good(I cleaned it with mineral spirits first). Looks like I need to find a nice bayonet for this Homeland Security Weapon (HSW),guess I need to add that to the list of things I need to finish this build.
Thanks
