my boss was going through some stuff he got long ago and had no use for some of the ammo he found.i ended up with a box of norinco 9x18 and a completely white box,no writing at all, with what seem to be .38 or .357 rounds.the headstamp is shown in the picture. hoping someone can tell me something about these rounds.

The Remington Military ammo should have a round nose FMJ bullet and brass colored primer. Looks like a reload using the RA case and a 150-158 gr SWC.

You are absoultely corect Robo....the military .38 brass and lead SWC was very popular for commercial ammo reloaders for law enforcement training reloads and was very plentiful during the 80's and 90's. No doubt this is a reload, because of the SWC. Whether it is a commercial reload or not, there would be no way to know. I loaded hundreds of thousands of the military cases myself on a dillon progressive. When it comes to unidentified reloads, I would, personally stay away from firing them unless the person you got them from can vouch for their worthiness from having fired them himself.

Could be a .357 also, hard to judge the case length in the photo...If it is a ..357 the overall case length will be 1.290". If a .38 S&W Special it will be 1.155"

I am 99.999% sure it's a 38 Special case. I know of no military 357 Mag produced in 1966.

After the death of General George Patton, there hardly was a reason to load .357 mag. Almost no one else carried one.

The .38 cases were very plentiful as the AF used it well into the late 80's early 90's. I'm sure there are some hold outs that don't like the M-9. Higher ranking pilot types that can (perhaps) still carry the revolver.
