Went to the local indoor range today for a charity shoot. All the money raised was for Operation Helmet. It raises money to buy Marines helmets. Enigma Nostra was nice enough to sponser me to shoot a few rounds with him, so we gave it a shot. Thanks much man, had a blast. The place was crowded, too many folks and not enough lanes all day from noon to 6:00. We shot till 2:00 and when we left I had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd locked in I later found out, but when it was over at 6:00 I was tied for 2nd and 3rd. Went back for the shootout and lost 2nd then lost 3rd after 6 rounds back and forth with the other guy. Had a wonderful time and didn't want the 2nd & 3rd place prizes anyway. Came in 4th someone said out of about 150 shooters, so I am happy with myself. Most of the shooters were LEO or Marines, so I am real happy with myself. While waiting also shot an M44(fireball), and one clip through an M16 :party0045: :machinegun: Couple of singles then couple of bursts, oh hell yeah. We were shooting pistols 7 shots at 7 targets at 7 yards in 10 seconds, 1" targets. I'm not used to shooting that close, but you improvise, adapt, and overcome to have fun. More than enough money raised, and more than enough fun had, thanks E.

That's great...but it pisses me of that we have to have a fund raiser for Marines to get equipment...oh well....

Sounds like you shot true...good job!!!

Like WIM said it ticks me off, too, that public individual have to raise money for our troops to be properly protected.

SALUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The home front makes no sacrifice for the war effort. Too many G-dd--n, tree huggin, hippie, pinko, socialist, anti war people who think supporting the troops is cutting thier funding. Go figure

Had some time to play around while warming up.... The face was 3 rds in a mag, the group under it was 17 rds with a flier. The center was with a 45 I wasn't familiar with that belongs to Enigma Nostra and a couple of 9's.
