The market has gone up but the last one That I know of sold for $1200 about 2 years ago. Now that said you have to be pretty dedicated to the fal to buy one.
They remind me of the Hesse falo that I used to own. Very overweight for what they are. Now if you are looking at it from a collector standpoint and it was under $1200 I would do it.
If on the other hand you want something to shoot then it needs to go on a diet.
This can be done returning the rifle to it's original state but it will add another $200 in parts. I have shot one that was put on a diet and it was very nice. Not as light as my 5.9lb carbine but presentable for .223

What do you mean "original state"? It was a .223 when it was made, the only swap out I can see is the butthole stock was swapped for a DSA set

What I meant by Returning it to it's original state is that making the gun lighter requires replacing parts like the lower with a DSA aluminum one.
The basic imported Imbel's are type 3 and very heavy compared to the G-1/STG type lowers and uppers. To give you an idea there is right at 4Oz between a type 1 upper and a type 3. There is 10Oz difference between the lower on that Imbel and a DSA alloy one.
I know about 15 owners of the .223 and there chief complaint is the weight. Others have gone the meeper route when building a .223 Fal.
Now if you like a 9lb .223 rifle then please disregard all that has been said.
