I came across this site and had to join. I have had my G3 for about 5 years and have rarely had an opportunity to fire it. However, I recently have had a change of circumstance that will allow me a lot more time to fire and learn about this rifle (Hooray).

I reading through posts, it seems to me that I do not know much about my rifle. I purchased this rifle from a friend of mine who has an FFL. Any information you can provide to me along the way is much appreciated. I do know however that it was manufactured by Century arms. I'll see if I can sort out how to post a pic...

I am looking at some point in upgrading the foregrip and buttstock; now looking at the pick they look a little banged up...

I also recently was granted my pistol carry permit in NY so I am looking forward to making some purchases in that respect.

I am happy to have found this site and I look forward to wealth of information you all provide.

a cetme modelo C to be in fact

cetme (a spanish firm) made firearms for the german military
for the first couple of years cetme modelo Bs were abundant in the german military. After a while Heckler and Koch was awarded the contract to make CETME rifles for the german military under contract from CETME. The words CETME had to remain on the firearm for a while, and then HK upgraded the design to the current G3
Spain upgraded from the modelo b to the modelo C which is what you have.

your modelo C is brothers with a HK G3, and the father of both being the cetme modelo B or modelo 58

welcome aboard! IF century arms built the firearm correctly, you will LOVE it - if they didnt, you might just hate her - either way we can help, just ask
