how are they attached?
threaded?

The original cage type flash hider was screwed on clockwise and used a metric 15x1 thread. If you have a Century build, you have one of their ugly "loudners", it's screwed on also, but it is pinned and staked on the bottom so it doesn't come off easily. It is located on the bottom at 6 o'clock and covered by paint. A little sanding or light filing should make it show up.
Search this forum and you will find pics of how to locate and remove the pin, that way you can remove the noxious Century flashider.

did they use oem barrels or are they us made?

Both, but mostly OEM. Sometimes the threads were cut if it were made during the ban. Post a pic if you can. The barrel widens at the end were the threads start and you can see if it screwed on or pressed.
