RTG says the HK G3 locking piece will not work in a Cetme. Apex has used locking pieces. Any place to get new ones, or make an HK piece work?

Im working on 2 rifles with NO bolt gap. 1 bolt has been ground, the other hasnt. I tried what I thought were +4 rollers, but they miced at 8.00mm, and I belive they are standard size rollers. They have no markings on them at all, I got them from RTG.

SO I would like to try a new locking piece plus +4 rollers, and mabye a new bolt to replace the ground one.

What do you guys suggest?

thanks jason

That sounds good. Though I would replace one part at a time to see what you get, starting with a new bolt head. There is a guy on this forum that live in Spain that can get new CETME locking pieces. Can't remember his screen name though.

Try APEX for a locking piece.

You should not use +4 rollers with a new bolt.Use a new bolt, locking piece and +2 rollers.See where you end up than?

Arnaiz has them. He is the only one I found that sells new never issued locking pieces. I just ordered one from him should be here Monday or tuesday. Jorge is his name and he is very trustworthy in my opinion. I have purchased several times from him and he has been prompt with delivery everytime. You can get his info from Gunbroker he advertises through out the Cetme add pages.

There's a guy on gun broker that has CETME parts. He's from Spain and was okay to deal with. I got a spare locking piece from him if I need it. van Loo is his call name. He might be the same guy form Spain mentioned in this thread.

Same guy. Good man. The shipping is higher because it is overseas so I'd suggest getting several small parts like a firing pin, rollers of all sizes, the little ball bearings in the rear sight, etc. Folks are needing these all the time so keep them or sell them here.

A new locking piece may not help you on the bolt gap. I have tried once and did not change bolt gap at all. Locking piece should be much harder than rollers.

a new locking piece did change my gap by a good little bit. Don't remember how much, but enough that it was worth it. But, start with the bolt head.
