A couple weeks ago I posted comments about getting nailed by photo radar.

This got me to thinking about all the advertised ways to defeat the camera.

They all make sense, do something to distort the image so the operator can't read your tags but the big question is "Do any of them work?"

The one that seems like it would hardest for the constabulary to detect is the reflective spray paint. This has been on the market for years and you can find it at hardware stores but someone is marketing it for anti-photo radar purposes. The explanation is that when the flash goes off, the plate becomes a big, bright reflector.

Anyone have experience with any of these methods? Any of them work? I couldn't find any reviews on line.

Aren't most plates already reflective? I think out of the devices to mask your plate, the cover that's like a polarized lens works. If makes the plates harder to read off axis. Anything you do to diminish the visibility of the plate could get you a seperate ticket.

One guy I know out west moved his tag from his bumper onto his back window just for this reason. He said no-one has told him to relocate it, and has not recieved any tickets.
