Better be careful what you display!

And this is how the crap starts. Put your tin foil hats on for a moment. I see little difference between this effort and the intelligence gathering of the pre-war Nazi party. Now before you get your knickers in a bind, do your research. Those pre-war activities consisted of pretty much collecting information on individuals, groups, and organizations and building files. IN some peoples eyes those individuals and groups deserved scrutiny (communists especially). After the war began those files were used to systematically round up and neutralize any perceived threats to the government.

Day by day the parrallels scare me even more. What came out of the MIAC resembled a list of people whom wouldn't be sheeple more than anything.

The more I read it the more it seems ridiculous, but that should scare us even more. According to the MIAC report (ala Jeff Foxworthy - although he might be a terrorist too according to their definition),

If you play airsoft milsim you might be a terrorist. Someone better tell the 13 year olds they are on the hit list.

If you believe the federal government has pushed the 9th and 10th to breaking point you might be a terrorist.

If you supported Bob Barr or Ron Paul you might be a terrorist.

If you have a Molon Labe tatoo, sticker, or whatever you might be a terrorist.

If you have anything with the Gadsen flag you might be a terrorist.

If you support the minutemen you might be a terrorist (they don't come out and call the minutemen terrorists, but for all practical purposes that is whom they refer to).

I think we have finally seen a real definition of "Domestic enemy to the constitution of the United States in this one". Oh shoot... I might be a terrorist!

Well if you suppored Ralph Nader, or a "Green Party" member too I imagine.

I went out and read the report, the actual as attributed report, and its really nothing compared to the conclusions that some have jumped too.

If you work on a federal installation you hear these sorts of comments about security all the time too.

well, i meet just about all of those criteria :(

hell, i've got a Come And Take It flag (the one with the star and the cannon) on my tank, and a Gadsen flag in my wall locker somewhere. I want to recover the face of a guitar amp speaker cab with it.

I guess I better go report to my S2 and tell them that they've been looking for terrorists in ALL the wrong places ;)

no suprise to this..... give em an inch, they take a mile...... best thing you can do is write your senators and congressmen and tell them, in no uncertain terms, that as a private citizen you have the right to do what you want, think what you want, and say what you want as long as it doesnt conflict with your CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS (until they decide to change them anyway)

I posted this in a similar thread at AK Forum

Anybody here remember The Covenant,The Sword and The Arm of the Lord?
Southern Missouri has a lot more then it's share of Neo Nazi, White Supremacists and militant religious groups. At least three State Police been killed in traffic stops by members of these groups. Missouri, once known as the " Mother of Outlaws" has several areas where you better watch where the hell you are walking .

I myself have come in contact with a member of the John Birch Society, that had his nearby house( in Missouri) raided by the FBI. I have never heard as much hate spewed by one individual as by him. His house had a nice assortment of explosives inside. He was wanted for attempted murder of a Highway patrolman.
Now, I am not saying that all John Birchers are of the same feather, but all of the perps in those killings had ties to several of the organizations named.
Maybe it's not politically correct,to talk of political organizations that have members who have taken part in violent illegal activities, and you can not tar all the members of those political groups with the same brush, but if I was a cop, I would want all the heads up info I could get.

As an esteemed member of this forum used to have as his sig " There's the way things are,and the way things should be."

What list?

If you're an anti-abortion activist, or if you display political paraphernalia supporting a third-party candidate or a certain Republican member of Congress, if you possess subversive literature, you very well might be a member of a domestic paramilitary group.

Yeah, all them antennas, you'd have to be a cop or in a militia....

Ok, so what is the big J-box for?

JC Speiser
03-23-2009, 09:06 PM
Okay, the big Grey box houses a "tuner" or antenna matching system - which has a 102 inch whip on it - like a cb'er would use. It will tune the whip down to 3.8 megahertz...did I mention that I am a ham radio operator, as you can see by the tag...

the other antennas are for VHF, UHF and Scanner freqs...

Besides MILSURPS I indulge in amateur radio ops, Weather (I am the VP of the Jacksonville Skywarn Association here in North Florida) and trains...when I'm in my truck I can pretty much listen in on everything below 1.2 Gigahertz...

I specifically fabricated the antenna mount so that it would not obstruct the tag, lights, or anything else that would the FHP a reason to pull me over.

wow, i guess that makes me a possible terrorist in some circles...

Hey is something really funny.......I put an AR15 bolt sticker on both my cars.......Wife got pulled over a few weeks ago and got a warning for speeding. Cop told her to drive safe and liked the sticker, but she had no idea sticker was there. I consider it a do not F with sticker for all those who knows what it means. Her boss finally asked her what it means and she did not know so she came and asked me. To her suprise I told her and she was and bit confused....blonde, but thought it was funny too....and wants to know where the gun is. So now it looks like having something like this may put me and my wife in a level with domestic terrorist. Considering removing it as I can take the crap but you dont screw with my wife. FYI...sticker predate the big O. Thoughts?

True, IIRC, some folks have been able to just stick a mic into their sound card, lay it in front of the speaker, and copy code OK with the freely downloadable software, same for copying PSK... I don't know that for a fact though. A Google search might yield some answers. I've got a RigBlaster for such things, next time I get an antenna up. I took down my GAP to install my tower, and haven't yet built the 3-el, 5-band quad I intend to put up, but I have most everything except the boom. The tower is a thing of beauty, that I almost STOLE...USTowers TX489MDPL, 89' of tilt-over/crank up, with a motorized hoist for up/down. The concrete is 5X5X8'+, worked out to 8.5 yards, 34,000 lbs. or so.
