I have some new hand guards on order but I do not know how to remove the gas tube from the current hand guards(M70AB2 cheap plastic). Help?

Grab the old furniture in one hand, the tube in the other, and twist. Really hard. It should rotate 180 degrees and come off. Install the other in the same manner.

Try a pipe wrench, channel locks, slip joint pliars, or a vise at last resort to hold the tube as you twist. Make sure to put a cloth or some kind of padding between the tool and tube so you dont scratch the tube all up.

The best way I found to remove the upper handguard from the gas block is to rest the flat part at the back of the gas tube in a vice or large adjustable wrench. Grab the handguard with a rag and turn it 180 degrees. If it does not move one way try the other. If you do not have a vice or large adjustable, remove the lower handguard, slide the retainer forward, install the gas tube and latch it in place. Grab the upper handguard with a rag and turn it the same as mentioned above. There is enough room to turn the handguard off this way. Be careful not to pinch your hands when replacing the handguard.
