On all of the media polls on gun control and such we are seeing after the shooting at VT, are really just a feel good on who can rally those on the net. Its scientific polls that will carry weight, and really letters to your congress member, and money to back those who will take the fight to Capitol Hill. All a on line poll does is motivate those who are on line, not a good cross section of the voteing public, thus these things dont carry much weight.

If you feel that your second admendment rights are in threatened, back up your votes on these polls with membership in orgnizations that will fight for you and use the internet to email your members of congress and others saying its important enough to you that if they vote against your rights you will do everything within your power to get them out of office(notice I didnt say support them if they vote your way)

Just my two cents on these polls

I agree Okie, but if we had lost the polls on the major news organizations, you can bet they would have been using them on their news cast. It would have looked bad for Communist News Network to be talking about how most Americans think we need more gun control. We should give them nothing.

Also, did you see the Australian Prime Minister slammed on our "gun culture"?

My girlfriend spent a little over half a year in Australia. She was in Perth and said there was a fair amount of crime. Twice people broker into where she was staying and grabbed some some and took off. The second time, someone she was living caught the guy and pounded him. The guy who caught him ended up getting in trouble for assault. She said the criminals have no fear of repurcussions over there. When you're not afraid of being shot, what keeps you from robbing someone? One night a group of 7 or 8 students was coming back to campus from a night out when jumped by 3 aboriginies. They smacked one of the guys in the head with a bat while another guy ran off for help. Ended up taking everything the group had.

Too bad the facts are on our side but the common sense doesn't seem to be within the mainstream population.

To paraphrase Mark Twain, "In all my travels I have found that common sense isn't so common."

-->Yeah, we should slam him fer making chix with knives criminals.

10 bux sez if all 1st world, educated, cultrually rich, Westrn nations gave up all guns, the 3rd world, ignorant, culturally poor, eastern nations would take over in a heartbeat.

I mean, try to make a law in the wst that China will follow....try it.:catcorn:

Steelcore, remember in the movie "Shawn of the Dead" that it took the military to save all of the survivors from the zombies with their firearms. I imagine the powers that be, will not disarm thsir militaryies as to prevent the thing you are predicting. Remember one gun in six on this plant supposedly is a ak rifle of some sort, and the folks in power know that.
