Can anyone recommend a place to buy US made fire control group parts?
Does everyone recommend http://www.robertrtg.com/g3.html for parts such as rollers, springs, etc?
Thanks, Eric

Sandpiper, many of the small parts from the g-3 interchange with the cetme, just none in the fcg. The bolt gap of a cetme is relyant on the rollers and they interchange(along with lots of other parts) with g-3 parts, thus Robert is one highly recomended supplier. He has on his website a interchange listing of g-3 vs cetme parts that can be interchanged which can be handy too.
As for us made cetme fcg parts its a tough search. Century was the largest user.

CETME...parts are in short supply, and so is the ammo to feed them!

Yea, its for a CETME. Just trying to be comlient. Bought 4 receivers from Century and 2 CETME parts kits from http://www.ftfindustries.com.
I need to change the trigger, hammer, and sear to US made. Will a US made mag count as 3 parts (floor plate, body, and that top part?)?
Is there an actual ATF form that has that has to be filled out for complience when building a rifle or is it just the "honor system"?

US made mag counts for 3 parts
No form to file, but keep your receipts
No one is making US CETME FCG group, so most convert to a G3 trigger pack and get the hammer, trigger and sear from JLD. They also have a G3 US cocking handle.

Other compliance parts would be stock sets(plastic for the most part, there are some wood g-3 sets on the way but Ironwood hasent listed them yet or have they), they are available for a cetme but more plentyful for a G-3, but if you use g-3 buttstock, you will need to either deal with adapting the cetme to the g-3 stock or get a g-3 stock and attached metal and make it work with the cetme bolt carrier.

Sweet! You guys rock. This is my first CETME build, I'll get some pics posted; I swear this thing looks like Frankenstein!
I have a bolt gap of 0.02 - .025 but its real tight. Using +2 rollers would suck up that slack a little?

No. Larger (+ size) rollers increase the bolt gap. You would need smaller sized rollers (-2 or -4) to decrease the bolt gap. However, bolt gaps have been known to shrink a tad upon the initial firing. Mine went from .025 to .020. So I am happy. However, be careful because larger gap means quicker unlocking. It it is too quick you could be exposed to really high pressure gases!

RTG doesnt have the -2 roller, any recommendation where they can be purchased? Is it possible the original 8mm have worn and simply replacing them with the origianal size would help?

Sandpiper, I believe that there are not - rollers made for the cetme/g-3 though there are other models of the hk family that use smaller rollers
Heres a link to an earler post

HKSPECIALIST.NET
they are HK rollers made for the hk21, but they work in a g3/cetme
you have to understand something - robertRTG gets stuff from the german ARMY - so his stuff is cheaper than most HK stuff. Same quality, but the bundeswehr dont pay full retail.
hkspecialist.net is a HK dealer - therefore his stuff sells at retail - his stuff is cheaper than MOST other hk dealers out there, but you have to understand that not only does Gordon need to make a profit, but HK does also.
they are for a hk21 - they do work in a cetme, and g3
www.hkspecialist.net
actually, here is the link to the rollers
http://www.hkspecialist.net/small.htm
7.8 mm is minus 2
and
7.6 mm is minus 4
$26.00 a pair
What ever you do dont just try to think you can grind down larger rollers, they are I imagine surface hardned thus once thur the thin hard surface they would be mild steel or unhardned tool steel thus useless.
