I was on FoxNews.com catching up on todays news and watching the video the nutjob shooter at VT evidentely filmed and mailed to NBC between his shootings when I noticed a link entitle "Concealed carry make US safer?". I watched it and was really inspired. It featured Suzanna Hupp who's parents and others were brutally murdered in a Texas restaurant back in 1991. She felt if she had been able to carry concealed she could have prevented her parents deaths. She was a strong voice in getting Texas to pass their concealed carry legislature. She is also currently pushing a bill to allow concealed carry without having to apply for a liscense and pay a fee....AKA pay and be liscensed to recieve your rights as she put it. Well anyways...she said that when schools do not allow their students (who have cc permits) the right to have guns for their protection, then the school should have to assume full responsibility for their safety and whatever liability if they fail! I hope this type of sentiment can continue. Maybe...just maybe we can actually get some this changed to can actually prevent this sort of thing from happening again!

I used to park in a Cincinnati parking garage that had signs everywhere quoting Ohio law and stating concealed firearms are not permitted. This would be a perfect place for some scumbag to ambush a person. In Ohio, unlike Kentucky, if a building has one of these signs posted and you are caught with a concealed weapon you can be fined or go to jail.

I always wondered about an entities liablility when they prevent someone from legally carrying a firearm.

Another thing that bothers me is why there are certain places that are prohibited from carrying, like banks? If I'm going to do something nefarious, it doesn't matter what the law is. On the other hand, if I'm in that place for a legitimate reason there is nothing to worry about.

I imagine there is none, as they asked the criminal that endangers you not to carry equally. Remember laws and rules are only for those who choose to obay them.

"featured Suzanna Hupp"
-->Cool! She spoke on Penn&Tellers show Bull5hit in their segment on gun control. I'd date her in a NY minute ;)
