I bought one of these from Copes hoping to use it with my Cetme but it doesn't fit. It starts to thread but I cann't get a full turn out of it. I can screw on original hiders and US compliant versions with no problem. Am I missing something? Has anyone used one of these BFA on a Cetme?

The stock G3 and CETME barrel threads are identical, 15mmX1mm RH.

If you are sure that the threads on your CETME barrel are stock (Century cut down some barrels and re-threaded them with SAE threads in the past), then I would suspect that the threads on the BFA are damaged.

Thanks, that's what I thought but looking at them I cann't see any prob. Yes it is a completely stock barrel and have screwed 4 different hiders on it to make sure my threads are clean. I just didn't want to order another if there was something different about these BFAs that I didn't know.

I have not handled the G3 BFA but I would assume tht it has a tension spring on it like the G3 flash hiders do, and this may be what is causing the interference.

Yes it does. Maybe I will try "tweaking" it and see if I can get it to thread more.

 for you Pirate. I removed the tension spring and got it to thread on all the way. I think there is some carbon build up in the threads as there was a couple sticky points. Here's a pic showing it installed without the tension spring.

Hey guys, I have to ask what does the blank firering adaptor do?
Does it block some of the gases to cycle the blanks or what?
I have never seen one before on a rifle!
I know you guys have all the answers, to me this is like asking my teachers.
Thanks,
Rudy

Basically, yes. The blanks by themselves can't generate enough pressure to cycle the weapon, so the BFA keeps the gasses from the blanks from escaping as quickly and allows gas pressure to build up and cycle the weapon.

The G3 BFA is nice in that it has a screw with a hole drilled it the shaft so you can adjust the opening to tune your rifle to the blanks you are using.
