Well after about 900 rounds or so threw the old cetme ! She gave me a 3 round burst and than the hammer drop did not seem quite right. One of the legs on the hammer spring that fits in the two slots broke off.It must have got caught in something in the trigger group.Of course everyone at the range thought i had a full auto.It was kinda interesting when it happen as i was shooting at large soda bottles filled with water.Anyway to say the least i stopped firring her.Anyone have there hammer spring break??? Thanks to our friend in Spain i have a new one on the way.

I'm sure it has happened and more times than not when assembling the trigger pack. That spring is under constant pressure and those are long legs. There old as heck too and probably the same one that came out when the conversion was done went right back in. I kept two out of a bunch of
parts I traded through a couple of years ago.
I'll bet every eye, including yours, was as big as a dinner plate when she went FA. A lot of WTFs were heard too. Glad nobody got hurt and you found the problem quickly.

I had the old double tap happen to me while at a buddies farm. It turned out to be the reset hammer hook was not catching due to Century's crappy HTS parts and a crummy trigger job by their monkeys. After some very excellent help here, it was back to normal.

You need to be ready after the burst with something for the others around you like: Oops. It was set on terrorist.

Mine doubled for a while. I really liked it but knew it could be trouble and had it fixed.

Sound like what happened the other day, i had the same reaction....So did the Range officer.:wtfflag:
Is it good to have a spare spring or two? What other related parts should I keep on hand? Would dis assembly and assembly be the same even with the trigger work?

It was pretty unnerving when it happened to me. At first I thought it was just my imagination, but my buddy said otherwise. Very first thought was what the heck caused that and how to fix it. Fortunately it was an easy fix.

To be honest there is not a whole lot in the cetme trigger pack. Its easy to take apart. The parts in mine are all parked. The trigger pull has gotten a lot smoother do to the park has worn off on the contact areas.I thought of having trigger work done. But i do not see any sense in it as i do not want a light trigger pull.I would think if one was to remove the park from the contact areas with very fine emery cloth that would be all that would be needed.I just clean my parts up with gun scrubber than lube it up good with clp

If you want to smooth things out to a polish, try some Mother's Mag Polish on the surfaces. I did it on one of my AKs by putting the stuff on the engagement surfaces and cycled the hammer, trigger, sear surfaces. I would not do it on something as delicate as a 1911 sear, but the AK has a very long engagement area.
