THAT WAS FREAKING AWSOME!!!!!!! I can't belive that he held her to the fire on that question and then at the end say, "no it's not." LOVE IT, we need more of this!!! Just think if all the idiots on the Hill actually learned something about firearms they might just say, "Hey there's nothing we can ban that criminals won't go steal, make for themseleves, or just flat out invent a new way of killing people. Why don't we just let the good people defened themselves." Everyone of them has an armed detail. The first one to surrender their guns should be those details and see how they like it.

She has a axe to grind in this issue remember, she is not just a bleeding heart liberal, she had a husband killed in the LIRR shooting, thus not matter how foolish she is preceived, she is going to fight her fight till the bitter end, like the Brady's too. Logic and common sence won't be arguements these folks understand, they have lost loved ones personally and are now seeking and obtaining positions of power. Thus understand the motivations of the enemy would be well learned lessons for all of the folks defending the second admendment. Remember, yes she is in some ways used as a congressional mouth peice for anti gun folks out there, thus a lighting rod too, but whos sneeking with end around moves.

Makes me wonder what clicks differently in folks who experience shootings of loved ones. Some say more guns some say less guns.

Okie is right. However, she is still an uneducated extremeist in firearms, their use, and the 2nd amendment. She is more of a mouthpiece for the liberals than anything else, but is a faction to be watched as she is big on using the "saving the children" line and makes the argument to mothers that are afraid of having firearms in the house and how taking away the "bad things" will allow their children to go blithly about their day.
More power to the newscaster for holding her feet to the fire on the barrel shroud and what it is.

Targeting the firearms used by gangs and criminals? As far as I knew, if it loaded itself when you pulled the trigger and was cheap, a gang member would buy it. Not necessarily a pistol gripped autoloader rifle, but anything. Revolvers, old Sears semi's from the 30's, anything at a pawn shop, cheap. I saw one "bust" that consisted of ridiculous stuff, a P-38 with duct tape grips, horribly rusted revolvers, a couple 1911 styles with the same duct tape job, but no AW's. Some people just don't get it.

Personally I think that the Brady folks just asked the local sherrif which guns he would least like to run into on the street, then used that list.
