I am so gonna get my ass thrown out of the house! Went on a little buying spree on Gunbroker and bought about $2k of goodies there:1087: , then another O/U from an individual for a little under $1k:crazyeyes: , two new barrels for one of the shotguns for $200, new wood for $200 and then bid on a Shiloh Sharps and a Browning 1885 BPCR rifles that if I win both those, they will be way over the previous amount spent for the other stuff. There is also an auction the first of the month where I am going to try and purchase a Sig AMT, and if not that, at least an M1A and a mint Winchester Garand. I am so getting my ass thrown out of the house and my head handed to me:offhead:

I am way past the roses and candy scale and am not really sure if I am still on the jewlery scale. I am hearing hints about a women's Rolex, or a new Mustang convertable, but I know there will be hell to pay so here is my ad for new digs:

SWM with gun addiction needs new home due to pending ass beating. Light drinker, non smoker, constant shooter with continious supply of ammunition due to a wide variety of reloading machines. Has 6 figure fixed income without working and is of a generous nature. Likes hunting, fishing, all forms of shooting, gun collecting, reloading, and traveling to and from shoots and hunts. Has been known to frequent Vegas due to comps given by the Orleans. Has available ranch to hunt in Oklahoma that has an abundance of deer, quail, turkey, coyotes, etc. and also come with pedigree Brittany and English spaniel gun dogs. Am house broken to a large degree (Similar to the dogs) does dishes, cooks extremely well, and will do laundry as a last resort when running out of everything. Contact via the forum.

Let me know if there are any takers. I always like to have a back up plan!

I know that feeling man. Best thing to do is plan a vacation thing, all on her terms...might help cool things down.

What I do too is explain to my wife how my spending on guns is my additional 401K. It's not really like buying a car or truck or 4 wheeler or like most "toys" which depreciate. It's an investment and will pay off big time in 10 or 20 years. I show her GB auctions on guns I have and what they go for now Vs what I paid. She seems pretty cool with it for now.

Know where you are at brother, I first got a simple L1A1 stock set, then got the 1919a4 kit from here, then made the mistake of going to the gun show last weekend and finding the Chinese .223 ak there. I tried to sneak in to the house with it but she was there at the door waiting. OOPS. I am sure its going to take some thing nice, vacation, or bling bling to get me out of this situation for sure too.

Two weeks earler we went to the gun show in Tulsa, I picked up 600 rounds of ammo and a huge box of magazines for the various rifles too(spent close to four hundred there too), and got nothing but dirty looks from that one too. So goes the ways of us guys with women to please too.

BTW she found a NIB Saiga 223 in the living room I had gotten a while back and I got burnt on that too last week.

If he gets kicked out, will he still have a six figure income, if she gets ahold of the money. :)

Man I feel sorry for you guys. The only thing my little lady says when I get back from a gun show is "What did you get me?".

mine just goes to the gun shows with me and helps me haul the stuff back to the truck. she has even spotted some things i miss when looking. i usually tell her or show her what i am looking for before we go so she will know what to look for. :icon_razz:

i go to the jewlery shows and help her buy stones and stuff to make jewlery with. i also get to help carry the stones she buys ( rocks get heavy quick). so it's a trade off for both of us.:icon_razz:

This little ditty sure seems appropriate about now.....

Ladies and gentleman, The Man Song!

He's the man. He's the man.

I don't take no crap from anybody else...
but you
I wear the pants around here...
when I finish with your laundry

Cos I'm a guy you don't wanna fight...
when I say "jump", you say "yeah right"
Cos I'm the man of this house...
until you get home

He's the man. He's the man.

When I say goes around here...
right out the window
But I don't wanna hear a lot of whining...
so I'll shut up

The sooner you learn who's boss around here...
the sooner you can give me my orders, dear
Cos I'm head honcho around here...
but it's all in my head

He's the man. He's the man.

And I can have sex anytime...
that you want
Cos I'm a man who has needs...
but they're not that important

And don't expect any flowers from me...
cos if I'm not mistaken, you prefer jewelry
I'm the king of my castle...
when you're not around

He's the man. He's the man.

And I'll drink and watch sports...
whenever I wanna get in trouble
And I'll come home, when I'm good and ready...
to sleep on the couch

Cos a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...
and I'm gonna do what you tell me to
Because I'm top dog around here...
but I've been neutered

He's the man. He's the man!

You the man!

I have a pending AK purchase that I have to figure out how to get in the house when she's not home...If I can keep it hidden in the gun safe for a month or so she is less angry with me after she finds out..."What honey? I've had that for like a month or so...?":1087: And it works sometime too!

Darkwatch, so much to learn. "That's been in the safe for a couple of years. I'm just getting interested in it again."

the proven perro method of getting guns into the house

buy yourself a double gun plastic case - available at big box stores for around $20.00

tell your wife you are going shooting

load up the double gun case with only 1 gun

go get your new gun, and even go shoot it if you want

come back home with 2 guns in your double gun case, and tell her that you need to clean your guns now and all them stinky chemicals will be used - she will stay away if you buy sweets bore cleaner.

proceed to clean and play with your new toy

both guns back in safe - the other dummy you brought along was never shot so it doesnt need cleaned.

never the wiser until you have a safe overflowing - THEN you will have some splainin to do, but by then its too late
someone once told me its better to beg forgiveness than ask permission :D

I tried hiding 5k rounds of ammo under the bed. It worked until she found the stuff I had to take out to fit it under there.
