Howdy all! nice to meet such a fine group of like minded and like armed individuals. But I have a question for all you guys who shoot scoped CETMEs, Is eye relief a problem for any of you guys? Because I am shooting a Century CETME with a B-square mount, cast receiver, and Simmons 8 point 3-9x40 with an adjustable eye piece, and I finally made it out to the range to shoot it for the first time with the scope, and it was just a bit uncomfortable. It seemed like I had to contort my head and neck into an uncomfortable position to get a good sight picture. Just wondering if any body else had this problem, and hope fully some solutions.

Unless you have a low-profile mount, you really need a cheekpiece to shoot the CETME with a scope comfortably.

Yeah, I feel your pain. Before I adjusted my cheek-piece to the right height, my cetme was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable to shoot with a scope. The cheapest fix is probably to get a cheek piece that goes right on top of your existing stock. I'm not totally sure where to get these, but other members are.

Or, if you're looking to spend a little more and would like what is imo a very nice stock you can go with this:

That is the stock I currently have on my cetme. I know The Great .308 has that stock and also this one:

This one is a little more expensive, but it's also supposed to be a little nicer.

You can get a very nice cheekpiece from RobertRTG:

I have this one and it works wonders.

+1 more for the cherokee cheekpiece... a total necessity for shooting scoped IMO.

Also keep in mind that if you get a cheekpiece, make sure it is easily removable because you will not be able to shoot with iron sights with the cheekpiece on.

Or you can do like I did and just get another G3 for iron sight shooting and leave the scope on the first one.

Good one...uh ur, I mean good two!

Yeah I had a similar probe with a hi-scope mount on the SKS...I took the scope back off--just could not get a good cheek weld. Also, the scope on it was one Ihave from my slug gun, and it has an eye relief of like 5 inches or somesuch! Three woulda been doable...5 was 'right out'
