I'm in Huntsville.
I love em all.
My Yugo SKS, 2 M1 Garands, Mossberg 44 US .22LR trainer rifle, and 1911 Kimber Pro Carry II. :)
The M1's hold the most meaning for me though as my dad's cousin served in the Philippines during WW2.

You mean you did occupy them too :)
At least we got spared Shermans Savage march... I always thought it was a good name for the tank considering how many Americans got burned alive in those gas filled POS.

I really don't know what IDPA is. It is a private range that a bunch of guys got together and made and it is a club so you have to pay a member fee every year. They do have matches though. Some to raise money for things going on around our city and some just for fun. It has a lot of members so there is always something going on. It's kind of like a city shooting range, only the city doesn't pay for the upkeep. But the range is as nice a one as I have seen. It has concrete bench rests and all.

IDPA stands for International Defense Pistol Association. Do a Google search for it for some info. The matches are a blast and very practical situations.

I live in Semmes, which is just west of (actually part of) Mobile, and I just LOVE my CETME too! Along with my TZ99, Witness P Compact .45, Kel-Tec P-11 (both of them), Ruger Blackhawk and Security-Six .357mags, Tula TOZ-78, Stevens Model 200 .308Win, and Mossberg 500A 12ga. We have an indoor pistol range close to the house, but have to drive at least 30 miles to the nearest rifle range. So I don't get to shoot my rifles as much as I'd like. But this year I can go to the hunting club.

Just added a M-48 Yugo Mauser to my firearm family, and it fits right in. I took it shooting the other day and I'll be a permanent KP if it didn't put a tighter group down range at 100yds than my CETME with a scope. Maybe it was the scope, maybe me!:icon_confused:
