I have my own ideas about the military etc. but I would not hesitate to send my son there. If only they would open it in Madison Wisconsin where it is needed.

What the heck is ERRRR? I know it is pronounced that way, but if you will recall, I believe the correct spelling is YUT...
FABULOUS idea. I'm all for it. I believe ALL kids should be educated that way. I guarantee they learn about the Constitution and the plight of our Founding Fathers. I bet they also have an excellent Phys. Ed. department... They got a football team? I'd be scared to play them... They should make the cheerleaders dress like waves...

Great Idea wish they had this when I was a kid. Help kids stay out of trouble and give them focus whats to complain about.
There is one in milwaukee.
I worked across the street from it. Every day they would be outside doing some sort of team building drill. If the students got out of line the drill instructors took care of them. There once was a short fight, between to students. The instructors where on them like flys on sht.
They also spent a good amount of time in the community doing things, like picking up litter or shoveling snow for the elderly.

That is an interesting thought, varsity and junior varsity MCMAP ...
So let me get this straight from my intial read. The folks who oppose this are thinking that 13 is too young? Too young for what? These at risk youth need the kind of swift kick in the tail that their parents should have been giving them since birth, but won't do.
So along comes the best thing these kids will ever get and all the opponents are crying? Because someone wants to make these kids better? Of all the sorry crap these liberal pansies do this takes it.
It is really simple: At risk youth + stern military focused discipline = productive member of society.
or
At risk youth + no discipline = juvenile deliquent and future welfare problem etc.
Now for those of us with some brains what is the better option?
Nothing at all wrong with kids getting some serious adult leadership and learning what a team and discipline is. If we had more of this in our schools then there would be less pansies in the world.

They can start one in Pittsburgh next. Knuckle-headed gang bangers need to start every day with 100 pushups, and a 10 mile forced march up and down these hills in full pack!
