Well for the update....
Went back to the range with the PS90, a mag and a box of factory ammo.... not a glitch at all with factory ammo.

So the problem is with the reloads, 10 rounds shoots just fine, 30 rounds and we have jams. Have to research rather there is something wrong with the reloads, i.e. not polished enough, or case lube still on them. Length is ok, will post pics later of the different ammo.

Got to be a problem when factory ammo shoots 100% and reloads fail to feed in the mag. There has got to be some flaw in the reloaded ammo that we are just not finding. Will try and run the reloads through the tumbler and polish them up some for the next trip.

Ya know folks I have done some less than smart things in my several years of collecting firearms. But I think this one is gonna top them all.

My initial read on this rifle is that it is a real POS, if you are thinking of buying one, DONT!!!!!! it will be most likley the the most foolish thing you can buy.

A rifle that costs 1500.00 should not have to have a break in period and mags that cost 50.00 each should work reliably... You folks thought the CETMEs needed some work... Most rounds I got off without a problem was 22...
Most times 6 or 10 then JAM o MATIC. Darn 50 round mags are for SHIT!!!!!! Damn things won't feed for shit half the time, then when they do the rifle jams up for some reason or another.

I am gonna use some graphite on the innerards of the mags to see if I can get the feed issues resolved. Then I am gonna clean and lube this rifle like there is no tomorrow. Then if this crap happens again.... Well it make go to the for sell table....

Oh it shoots really nice when it shoots, sights are off, has no recoil, about like a 22mag, brass drops right out the bottom, but the mag issues suck.

Remember the new mantra.... friends don't let friends buy PS90's.....

The mag problem has to do with the feed, seems the rounds jam up in the mag body and the spring will not push them so that they turn and drop like they are sipposed to. Good thing I know immediate action drills, but smacking a plastic mag worries me. Happened too many times today with 6 different mags. All were brand new.

In another thread, you mentioned that the ammo you had was reloads... any possibility that the issues could be ammo related??? perhaps the cases were only neck sized, and should have been full resized, giving you too little clearance in your mags and also in the chamber?

Just 1 possibility... maybe try some factory ammo and see if the hang-ups persist.

That's the next step, next range trip I will try a mag of factory ammo and seewhat it does. Will compare the reloads vs factory ammo and see if there is a difference.

I know of 3 NFA models that run all day long but they only have factory amm run
thru them.

Steelcore, most compatition shooters shoot reloads, but for automatic rifles it is a little tougher, many competive shooters are shooting bolts.

That said his friend did the reloading(I read that some where, I think he posted it in another post) for a cartriage that is rare to find any way and really expensive(we think fifty cents a rounds high but imagine higher, and tough to even buy) thus if his friend did the reloading correctly, on the first use full length resizeing and trimming the cases, plus properly loading the rounds there shouldnt be a huge problem due to reloading.

My brother in law did the reloading from once fired brass, with new dies. I have never had a problem with his reloads for my other stuff, but this is one small round and my guess is the brass was probably fired from a full auto rifle. That should not make any difference, but the new ammo is 50 cents a round times 50 rounds to a mag... so 25.00 for each mag... probably one of the more expensive toys I have. But I wanted the damn thing... so I have to get to the range and try some of the factory ammo I have. If you by the ammo direct in a 2k quantity it does go down to almost 35 cents a round... still a lot for what is basically a 22 hornet round.

I need another day at the range.... maybe this weekend if the weather holds up.

Even if the problem is the reloads, I'd shoot that puppy single shot for plinking if it meant saving money, and save the factory expensive ammo for hunting or whatever else you do with that rifle.

Maybe he could just try a different load that would work the action a bit more deliberately and it would chamber and function better.
