For those who haven't felt the sensation....there is only one thing that compares. This one thing is the big "O". Orgasm you see. :icon_razz: Ask anyone and the answer is usually the same. It's been years but I'd like to try one of those ram-air jobs. My legs wouldn't want the beating the old round chutes give when you hit the ground. David

Comments such as "the only things that fall from the sky is fools and bird-crap. Answer this by saying "What holds up a chickens ASS? A dirty-nasty LEG!!! Leg being someone who hasn't jumped.

Haha, thanks guys!
I got a first drop freefall jump as a birthday present. I loved it! Nearly landed in a wire fence, but it is an unbelievable rush. I'm definetly going again in the next few weeks. I may even get into the Advanced Free Fall programme.
Highly recommended!
Err ... Drine ... I don't know what you get up to behind closed doors, but NOTHING compares to the aches and bruising I'm feeling today ;)

It's not a jump until you are rigged up with over a 100 pounds of equipment plus parachute, on a dark starless night at 800 feet with a thousand of your closest friends
Then it's a jump
just saying
at 5,000 feet you're up there forever.

I couldn't find the handdrawn picture that I used to have on my office wall at Ft. Bragg that expresses a similar sentimate.
That aside, I prefere skydiving to a military jump. Congrats on you jump.

My 1st jump was in Chino California. Old style round chute, static line from 3000 ft. I remember sitting in the door of a 2 engine Cessna, jump master slapped my back, yelled go and I pushed out. My first, immediate thought was,"Oh S**T, what did I just do". The chute opened and it was a great, quiet trip to the ground. Of course, that was almost 30 years ago. Still seems like yesterday.
