I got lucky picked it up in Jan for around $500, unfired. plus the $200 I have in the conversion (treaded barrel, break and Ironwood stocks)

No same size as the original, just with out that thumb hole

arsenal are my favorite AKs, I own one.
Was your mb pinned?
and did you have to move the front sight to have room to thread the barrel?
Let me know because my MB is pinned and I would like to change it if is not to much hassle and dont want to butcher the rifle up.

Thanks for the info wwIIBuff, I guess I have to keep searching for my answer cause I dont want to take a chance in messing up!
It is in pristine shape and want to keep it that way!

I have not found any body yet that has changed the pinned MB that comes from the Factory in the SLR95!
