North American Firearms makes a .22mag revolver that is tiny. I have one and I take it everywhere.

If you're looking for inexpensive, however, Check the pawn shops and see if you can find one of those old Raven arms .25 auto pocket pistols.

i would like something like 9mm 45 9mm mak .38 etc, something that can knock someone down, not 22 cal or 25 32 etc

The .380 market's getting pretty flooded with new guns right now.

P-64 fits nicely in a pocket. Shown with a Mak for comparison.

2nd the p64 in 9x18mak. This was one of my carry guns for awhile. I own 2 of them I liked it so much one to collect and the other to use. There is a p64 forum that has a lot of info on them. You would probably want to change the springs in it that are readily available. Other wise you have to be strong as a gorilla to pull the trigger in DA. J&G has them for 159.95.

thanks,

i was actually thinking of a p64 but was rather hesistant as it has no slide release, however for a carry gun thats not all that necessary

Kev you can't go wrong with the lil pole at the moment bcuz .380 is hard to get in some areas but 9x18 mak is still relativity easy to get and is a lil bit stronger.

I carry mine in a variety of ways (iwb, pocket holster, owb) just depends on what you're doing and how you're dressed.

It has some pop on it!

Go to the p64 forum and you'll learn a great deal about these wonderful pistols.

It's all steel so it has some heft but nothing that'll stop you from carrying it.

I think that a Makrov is actually the same size as a PA-63 which you already have, thus really any smaller, I believe that the P-64 is about as small as you can get with the 9mm Makrov cartrage.

Looks like '09 is the year of the .380, so many new small pocket .380's coming out this year its hard to chose. SIG, Walther, Ruger, Kahr, Taurus and Magnum Research all coming out with dandy pistols...Im looking to get the Walther PK380, its a slightly scaled up P22.

My only real pocket pistol now, is my S&W380 ( I dont count the J frame Mod 49, its too dang heavy) I got a few years back, some say they are disposable pistols and "poo poo" them but mine runs like a champ.... I like the fact you have to intentionally have to manipulate the magazine to get it out of the pistol, slow, but there wont be any accidental mag releases in my pocket.

There's always the .38 two shot pocket Derringer... Small as they come. Of course, you've only got two shots.

P64 is not a bad option

I have an AMT .45 ACP backup that is very small. This is the sweetest backup you will ever own. It doesn't have a safety because it has an extra strong trigger pull. You put in a five round magazine, charge the slide, and carry it. It will never fire if dropped or kicked or run over by a semi. A normal child can't pull the trigger to shoot it, and it is very accurate short range.

I have NEVER had a malfunction with the pistol. I carry it all the time loaded, with and with a spare magazine in a pouch in front of the holster. I also have a small of the back holster for it, but never use it.

It is really small. Much smaller than a makarov.

Kel-Tec P3AT in hard chrome or one of the scandium J-frames are super-light and suitable for pocket carry, too.

Hey, you can't knock a .22. There really is no such thing as knock down anyway, the double deuce has killed plenty of folk and it has been proven to put someone into shock faster than a .45. I just got a North American Arms mini revolver and while at 7yds its not to accurate the thing is SMALL and loud! I don't carry it as my primary CCW weapon but it is a fine backup and one you can easily slide in your pocket. Load it with ratshot and you will really make someone re-think coming at you. I also carry a Taurus revolver in 9mm and I love it! I recommend it. Others I carry are HK USP compact 9mm, and Keltec p11 9mm. I carry the USP mainly in the winter months when I am wearing more clothes. I like 9mm and I also limit my calibers so I don't have to carry a bunch of different extra ammo in the glove box.

COLT...COLT!

Model 1908 .380; this one is mine; made in early 1917 and sent to Von Lengerke & Antoine in January 1917. VL &A was a Chicago Sporting Goods Store, in the same vein as Abercrombie and Fitch - which, in the early 20s was bought by Abercrombie but maintained their own name and brands.

This pistol of mine has been professionally overhauled; all the lettering was recut/restruck before it was reblued. One of the 5 magazines I got with the gun is original to the gun; the others are genuine Colt from the teens - twenties. the gun, loaded with .380 Silvertips is not something I would want to be on the receiving end of. I have three holster options that came with it; a Bianchi on-the-waist, a nice little shoulder rig with a double magazine pouch, and a custom made US flap holster. This gun, normally in .32 acp, some in .380, were personalized and issued to Army Generals as personal side arms. Old Blood and Guts himself had one. They were issued (until stock ran out) into the early 1970s.
