I have one more kit to build, and it seems to me that if you had a new trunion bolt gap would be an easyer issue to deal with. I know that you can chang the position of the barrel in the trunion to compensate, but wouldn't it be better to start with a trunion that wasn't worn out to begin with? I saw on PTR 91 Inc. that they had new trunions for that gun. Has anyone seen or heard of new trunions for CETMEs? Is this not a valid avenue of persute?:weight_lift:

new trunions for the cetme are nearly non existant. Jorge Arnaiz in Spain may be able to get you one, but really, why bother when you are just going ot press the barrel anyway.

The PRT 91 trunions are G3 spec, and not designed for the CETME.

I would just use the trunion you have, and repress the barrel.

Either way you still have to drill and pin the barrel, if a new trunion or used one. Not sure if you would save any work, just have a less worn trunion at the caming surface where the rollers lock. (or is there a geomomerty where you can set the bolt gap by measurement between a face on the trunion and the barrel?)

Most of the wear in a system like this happens in the first 250-300 rounds and peens while burnishing parts. Just press the barrel and pin! You'll be done and ready to shoot!

i wish i knew a better way to explain this on paper
but basically it all boils down to just use your existing trunnion and set natural bolt gap.

new trunnions? the only source i know of is from the new unissued kits that century sold when cetmes first came on the market. These kits sold for $400.00 a piece, and were sold about 6 or 7 years ago.
