Howdy men!
For those of you that are having trouble finding CETME/G3 US Compliance Parts, all I can say is keep at it and don't be in a hurry! (I KNOW it's tough when you want to get your bang stick up and running in a hurry) Many sources are out there, some with MUCH better deals than others, however a lot of the big vendors seem to be getting tapped out. :boohoo:
Do your research: ;)
1-watch the For Sale section in this and other forums,
2-check out the many arms auction sites, and
3-read everything you can on our beloved CETME rifles (usually there are clues to where others have sourced parts contained within many of the posts).
By DOING the research yourself, you will KNOW what the parts go for on the market and when what you are looking at is a HOT DEAL!
Case in point: I want as much part flexibility to customize as I can get in my rifle builds, so I source low cost US parts wherever I can, in as many part types as I can. Early on, I considered Thermold magazines for the 3 US parts they contain. Checked the prices - best that seemed to be out there was around $25 each, plus shipping ... Long story short, by being tenacious, and resourceful I was able to score 5 NEW ones for $46 including the shipping! When YOU find a deal, :snatch: it up!
IF I can find the US stuff, so can you! Keep looking, the parts ARE out there and it DOESN'T have to cost you an arm and leg to build one of these fine rifles - and WELL too. Let finding the source for your builds become the point of the quest. Let the CHEAP CETME BUILD CHALLENGE begin!:rocker:
Remember, the $ you save on this build will be able to buy ammo for the :zombie:
-OR- allow you to build the next project you've been :drool: over!
