View Full Version : rear sight on a CIA-3 cast receiver.

My reciever has the sight base cast in but there is no relief cut in the top for the sight drum. Is this normal or did they for get to do this operation?

So it looks like your have to make the cut for the drum. Wow there is not a lot of material there. Anyone mount their drum to this set up yet?

I have 2 of them and the drum fits just fine. I have not had a case where I had to adjust the elevation to the point where the drum would bind on the receiver.

Daaa I never thought of that. I bought the sight loose from RTG. It must be set low. Raiseing it up should fix it. Thanks Guys it pays to ask before you cut.
