Isn't it a bit ironic that these kinds of deals are not available to us here, prohibited from import by our gov't.....but are available in those countries we helped to liberate at one time or another???? I would love to have one or twelve of those Modelo LC's,,,,

I was in Spain for several months a few years ago.
While there I was able to visit a few "tourist" shops.
Besides the normal tourist stuff, they had 3 or 4 racks of CETME's plus a rack of C1 SMG's.
The CETME's were in very used condition, but the C1's were brand new.
The shop keeper told me that the barrels were drilled, but the bolt faces were intact.
Thanks,

Crazy how the rifles are such incredible deals and the Aluminum G3 mags are 25 Euros!
So...... could a person go to Spain, buy one of these rifles and cut the receiver so its fit for importation and bring it back to the states? THEN once you get back here, just get Turbo to weld the receiver back together??? It seems foolproof, though I imagine the hoop-jumping would get old. At the very least, getting these back minus the receiver and barrel would still be quite valuable.

Especally with the barrel ban on assault rifle parts kits. Thus would it be worth it.

You would still need an import license and the correct BATFE paperwork to do it.

Seems like a good opportunity for some of our Spanish friends to buy up some B model nice parts kits and sell them over here in the the US...

Nice web site, I wish I could read it.
Believe it or not, I Googled the whole link, and, sure enough, it found it, and there was a link to "Translate this page"....

That's not to say it makes perfect sense...
