I went to therapy today, a half hour drive into the desert with three guns. My Beretta model 1934 .380 went haywire on me. The trigger would not reset after each shot unless I moved it back and forth a couple of times with my trigger finger. I've not had this problem with it before, but it sure is frustrating. This is the first time I've used Santa Barbara ammo in this gun, the only thing different from other shooting sessions when the pistol worked perfectly. I don't see how this could affect the trigger resetting, though. Any ideas?

I don't know the gun or how it works, but there has to be some sort of spring that resets the trigger that is either broken or missing.

About the only things that would keep you from getting reset would be the trigger spring and plunger or the trigger bar. If the spring is gunked up it could hang a little or if the pivot pin that connects the trigger and trigger bar has backed out a little and is dragging maybe. Or the plunger came off of the end of the spring, which isn't likely I don't think. I've worked on a few of those and they are a plethora of pivoting parts. Tear it down and scrub the bejeezuz out of it.

The last time I took apart a 'simple' pistol it went to the gunsmith in a bag. I'll look this one over and decide if its me or the gunsmith. Thanks, All.
