Alleged robber leaves his AK-47 receipt

Sheriff's deputies tracked down a suspect in an armed robbery with a receipt he left at the scene of the crime, authorities said.
A man wearing a mask robbed an Orlando Hess station Monday, stealing $75 and two cartons of cigarettes, the sheriff's office reported.
When deputies arrived at the gas station, someone noticed that the robber had left a gun case against a display rack. Inside the case, deputies found a receipt for a new AK-47 assault rifle.
"Obviously, he wasn't a member of the MENSA society," sheriff's spokeswoman Susan Soto told the Orlando Sentinel.
The receipt was made out to Eric Cunningham, who lived only a few miles from the gas station, according to an arrest report.
Deputies found Cunningham, 18, at his apartment with a loaded assault rifle and a shotgun, the report said.
Cunningham was arrested and charged with armed robbery with a firearm while wearing a mask. He remained in jail with no bond.

Depending on the State, yes.

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure if he was unarmed during an armed robbery, the charge would be less, and even lesser if he wasn't robbing anybody while unarmed and not wearing a mask.

I wonder if the Orlando PD has a Department of Redundancy Department?:wtfflag:

Well if he had sold the ak, and such, might be dollars ahead and not in jail, Where was it that the guy held some one up with a highly collectable 1911 that was worth hundreds or thousands of times more than what he made in the robbery.

From my understanding, the more thought and such that looks like has gone into it (Had a mask, brought a firearm, etc) the more it goes up in grade of felony.

Oh, yeah..that was really worth the price of admission for Prison...and the inability own firearms, and the inability to get a decent job ever again...

One common point with most robbers--they do big time for small jobs, routinely. It is easier to work a job to make some money than to rob for whats' in the till.

A buddy of mine that worked at a convenience/gas station was robbed one night at gunpoint--he had just mae a cash deop so there might have been 20-30 bux in change and smallbills int he drawer. the guy was irate, tore the store up a bit, snagged some items he could carry and took off.--My budy had 400 bux in his wallet...perp never asked for his wallet.

Well, that's better than writing your bank demand note on the back of your own deposit receipt.

Anyone that stupid should be allowed to wear a mask all the time to avoid embarrassment.:bag:
