Thanks to the advice given from this board I've ordered several new pieces for my PTR. Today in the mail I got my Magpul butt stock, Promag Bipod and the HK reticule Illuminator from Cheaper Than Dirt.

First of all the Magpul butt stock is absolutely sexy. Its a solid well made piece that comes with retard proof (I'm saved!) installation instructions! Can't wait to try this sucker out.

Second is the Promag Bipod I got from Midway. It seems pretty solid and when the legs are locked out there isn't any play. The finish could use some work its spotty in some areas. The biggest issue is one of the release buttons is extremely tight and hard to move. If I had to do it again I'd probably just spring for a genuine HK one, but for the price its not too shabby.

Last is the Reticle Illuminator I ordered from CheaperThanDirt for the HENSOLDT FERO Z24 scope(ordered from another site that should be here in a few days!). As you can see from the picture its pretty small and looks pretty good. It comes with 4 batteries (uses 2 at a time) and has a red LED that you are able to control the brightness on.

I'm new to this rifle and Its accessories and was thinking other new folks might appreciate a quick close up visual on some stuff that gets mentioned around here.

Hopefully the rest of the pieces I ordered are here by the end of the week... so freaking excited!

Edit- Quick side note, All those parts only took 3 working days to get here, Hooray for Service!

Just mess with the lever on the bipod a bit, and itll loosen up. Mine was the same way when I first opened it up, but its moves freely now.

The reticle illuminator is DECENT at best IMO... When installed on the scope, because it illuminates from the side rather than the rear, it only illuminates the "left" side of the lines on the reticle, and so it makes for a weird looking sight picture with the aleady weird reticle to start out with.

You couldnt have gotten a better scope IMO, I absolutely LOVE the Z24.

That buttstock looks purty cool... wish I had that money to burn.

Post some pics with it all together.

Drew, just FYI you can upload the pictures to the forum so they appear as images.
