Hi guys, I haven't been around for a while. I've been building my collection and actually have 3 kits to build now. a cetme with cast receiver, an Ak and an Uzi. But any way, I'm looking for 2 port buffers for my cetme's, or a way to build/make some buffers, military brass is getting rare and rounds are pricey, so now I'm reloading, thanks in advance, by the way rtg is out and haven't seen any in a year, about when I first started looking for buffers. scott:hurted:

I recently picked up one on ebay, but they are very rare at the moment.

I would watch the for sale posts here, or maybe on the HKPro site, and scour the gunshows.

I am just curious and I need a learning experience here.

How could you engineer an ejection port buffer around the ejection port that would NOT interfere with the bolt action and yet provide protection from case damage?

If I could seea good picture I might be able to figure out how to manufacture one until I find one

You can just do what COK does, and put a gob of silicone on the receiver where the mouth of the case normally hits...

FWIW, Robert at RTG told me a long time ago that they ARE expecting to get those back in stock sometime soon... When I talked to him he told me April for th bipods, wide handguards, and Port Buffers.

Navajo, the port buffer works by putting a sort of "rap" behind the ejection port so that the case contacts in with the full body spreading out the force on the case rather than just banging the mouth against the receiver bending the crap outta it. It also makes it eject much closer to the rifle rather than flinging the cases 30'.

it looks like this... now before I post the link, I dont condone buying ANYTHING from FGW.

do some searches around any gun forum, and you'll find that their business practices are SHADY at best.

I actually email FGW about the port buffers last month. They actually answered and said that they didn't have any and didn't think they would either...
