IMHO it's not white gravy, it's cream gravy. Brown gravy? Yuk.

If your SIG does not fix itself don't expect the factory to fix it any time soon. I have had bad luck with them. Long turn around.

You have passed the test Grasshopper. :woohoo-1:
It's CREAM gravy and brown gravy would be an outrage!

And yes people of the north, we do have a dish called "Chicken Fried Chicken".

Fido, you are going to go north some day, and wonder why they dont have sweet tea either, and hand you macaroni and cheese as a main dish and not a vegatable.

I tried to find biskets and gravy for breakfast once in Detroit, they never had it, but ironically if you go to rural parts of the north, they have the stuff(and most truck stops).

hell i had to show my cousins in michigan what barbecued brisket is all about.... seems up there they only deal with briskets when its "corned beef" brisket..... i'm not all that big on pickled meats, so i had to show em an alternative method of preparing a brisket so as not to violate it with things like brine, vinegar and pickling spices.... oh.... sorry about that, welcome Robo!!!

On brisket, they didnt know what corned beef was here in oklahoma when I moved here ten years ago, kinda like the other way, some times though corned beef is good, just as a good smoked brisket is good too. Just then you argue styles of bbq though, kc, texas, memphis and carolinas.

I must admit as transplanted Georgian, I have still not aquierd the taste for the Carolinas style yet. MEMPHIS all the way for me.

Thanks fidodog. But I hate Grasshoppers. Wore out a BB gun killin' em a few years back. Talk about fun though. I would get home and go to the shop for the BB gun. Set a rule that I could not go inside until I had 50 confirmed kills on the grasshoppers. Got so good I had to up it to 100. My kids would come out and act as spotters. My wife (at the time) got mad because I was putting dents in the playscape wood. I showed her where to aim to allow for drift and drop. Once she scored her first kill, it took me 45 minutes to get the BB gun back from her.

Talk about improving ones off had rifle skill!

I was not lucky enough to be born in Texas but have been here for 31+ years and have no intention of leaving now.

Had my first bisquits and gravy as a lad in Michigan. My great aunt was from Texas and served 'em up one morning. I had never seen such a concoction but after one bite, I was sold!

Killin' grasshoppers with a BB gun or field rats with an STI 40 (off the tractor) garden spiders with CB caps or coyotes with an AR, that's livin'.

Actually the best gravy, is the one made in the pan though, from the cracklings from the CFC or CFS, its more grey than pure white, but dang good.

Welcome RC10mm. I'll always have a place in my heart for Texas. My Dad, and his whole side of the family was from there. He was a cop in Amarillo. My Great Grandmother used to tell me storys about them moving to Texas in a covered wagon.
