does a folding stock for a cetme require any special buffer assembly, stock bolt, or recoil assembly?
If so, where can you buy the stuff. Most if not all of the folding stocks come without the innards, and they say that some kind of captured recoil assembly is required.
It's not for me, for a guy on gunboards... I personally dont care too much for the folders, but it did raise a good question, and now Im curious.
Im sure Ive seen one or two rifles on cetmerifles with folders... what was needed?

I bought a choate folder. I attached it to a G3 buttstock housing, and knocked out the pins on the end of the recoil spring guide so change out the Cetme spring retainer with the one that came on the G3 guide rod.
Works just fine for me.
The reason I used a G3 buttstock housing, is that the choate folder isn't made for the cetme buttstock housing, and I didn't want to drill and dremel my Cetme parts to fit(when a G3 part would do fine)

I have both the Choate and ACE folding stocks.
Both of them came with a rubber bumper that is used as the buffer and is held in place between the folder and the CETME or HK buttstock hangar.
I personally prefer the ACE to the Choate one because you can get different lengths, plus the lock-up is better.

Ya but we dont all have the sources you have there arnaiz. As for the chote, doesn't it come with everything you need but the steel butstock plate/housing? I would just order a extra stock set from ctd or some one and get the housing off off of a spare so you dont have to do any changeout of parts to your fixed stock.
