Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them, and whether or not they were worth even considering for a range plinker. Good info reliable info seems pretty hard to find as some people say they're "ok" and some say they're garbage. I don't plan to take it to war or depend on my life with it, just again, something to take to the range and hit targets with. It would be nice to hear from someone who has actual experience using one on their cetme (if such a person exists)...:icon_biggrin:

My kid had one on his 10-22. I wouldn't hold my breath for them to be able to withstand the recoil on a cetme for very long.

Not sure...something along the lines of this is what intrigued me...

I've heard a few opinions about the chinese knock-offs say they've drastically improved over time, and some are much better than others...but on a .308? Kinda iffy about it, but willing to take the plunge if someone can convince me...

If I had $70 I'd try it out just for the fun of it...but alas, new baby + sh*tty job = no money.

I have one on my GSG5. Took a lot of tweeking to get it to not turn off from the GSG's recoil (battery spring orientation... the recoil was causing the springs to compress and the batteries to loose contact)
It's nowhere near as bright as I would like, dang hard to see against bright backgrounds, like the snow we have here most of the year (at least seems like most of the year...)
I think I only keep it on there because it looks BA. Some day I'll do something different. Think the S&W M&P15-22 I'm getting is gonna get the new Bushnell micro red-dot. They're around $150 if you look hard enough.

I feel you...I got my first due in January, so I'm trying to finish up a few things before I go into full time daddy mode lol...

Just finished up my Remington 870 tactical...but the Cetme's my favorite, and I can't afford the real Eotech's and Aimpoints at the moment. Just want something to hold me over at the moment until I can hopefully get into police academy in the near future, then maybe I'll spring for a real Eotech

Wow...says a lot if it couldn't hold up to .22 recoil. Was it an Ebay knockoff and if so what brand or seller so I'll know to avoid it...?

Also, since we're talking knock-offs here, any of you guys think a cheapie red dot scope would hold up better to the .308's recoil compared to a relex sight? I hear a lot about cheap reflex sights (like Barska's and NCStars) falling apart or losing zero under recoil. Opinions?

I bought a COMP3 or 4 clone and put it on my AR. Since the MOA of the dot is kind of big I only shoot it a 50yds and less. No trouble with it yet. 700/800 rounds. It groups inside the red dot at 50yds which is no more than a 2 inch square. It came with a cantilever mount too and was under 50.00 shipping included. I can rapid fire with it much better than open sights which is what it is made for anyway. I just thought I'd get something cheap since I was buying Mosins at the time. I think all the Chinese stuff is hit and miss. Just like the Japanese stuff of the 70s, the more they sell, the better the QC gets(with word of mouth). Terrifying thought if they ever get as good as the Japanese did with manufacturing.

I have a Bushnell Trophy 1X28mm red dot sight that I had on a Cetme, an FAL and a .223 Saiga listed on Ebay. Never had a problem with it on those .308 guns..... I got a real Eotec for a gift so I don't need the other any more..

I don't remember offhand who I ordered it from, and apparently too long ago for ebay to remember. I don't think it was a US seller though.

That one on the link looks like it's just a longer version of the one I have... I'd pass on it.

That's money you could put in the cookie jar towards a real optic, vs. wasting your money on a Chinese airsoft knockoff.

I bought a reflex dot for my ak and I really like it.
UAG RED & GREEN DOT RIFLE PISTOL OPEN REFLEX GUN SIGHT
from ultimate arms Cost me a total of $26.99. And its a really nice red dot. I figured for the money it would fall apart within 5 rounds, but to my suprise it has taken the punishment of over 300 rds and being slammed around the gun safe for aove two years. Just search ebay for the UAG RED & GREEN DOT RIFLE PISTOL OPEN REFLEX GUN SIGHT. Most of them are sitting at around 17-18 dollars right now.
