Bolt Question from Noob

Why are there two style of bolt carriers? One has the little extension in front of the flange and one doesn't and appears shorter. Am in the process of buying a used Century CETME so what carrier should I get to replace a worn carrier/bolt?

There is 2 types of Cetme bolt carriers that we see in the Century Cetme. The Modelo B and Modelo C...but both are the same length.

What you describe sounds like a Cetme bolt carrier vs a G3 bolt carrier and they are NOT interchanage.
