we pulled a team of 8 to go head up to Mingus Tx this weekend to partake in the Tac Pro 3 gun Autumn shoot. Here are some pics:

Awesome photography Henry. Looks like you guys had fun. Was that a Burris scope on the AR that had the mag pouch on the stock??

Thats awsome, I need to get into the match in Copperas Cove this month. Last month was Regimental mandatory fun day at BLORA. Are there rules governing the types of guns/mods you can/cannot have? I suppose each range would differ but are there any deffinite no no's?

well, Zack on the top right of the group photo found out that mag fed shotties were a no-no at the tacpro match... in normal 3 gun it automatically bumps you up to an open class

you can't use lasers, and optics and irons are in separate classes for tac pro.

there's a he-man class in the big competitions, that is to shoot it with .45, .308 and 12ga.

I think we're hitting the copperas cove one up this month, when is it? how is their registration? maybe i'll see you there.

I have never been to the Cove range. They say new shooters get there at 7 or 7:30 for registration and whatever. I will call the range later this week, going back to the field for a day tomorrow. Its the 4th sat of every month.

I like that Heman category, thats my excuse to get a 1911.

we have an FTX 23-25th OCT... let me know though, the other guys need practice

if you're talking about the one with the tan mag pouch it's mine. It is a millett DMS-1/LaRue SPR-E combo

Can you give me a run down on the shotguns you all used and how will they did?

Also, it would be pretty cool to have a list of all the firearms used if you have time.

that looks like a hell of a lot of fun. do they have matches like that all year round? i would love to go to one of those before i leave texas. (i'm pcs-ing to ft knox in march)

Henry how do you like that millet?? I shoot three gun matches every month. I use my cetme my 870 modified and my para ord p14-45. My kids just started this weekend shooting USPSA matches with me. My daughter shoots an XDm 40 and my son shoots a Springfield GI 45 hes 11. They will shoot their first 3 gun in two weeks. Both are shooting their AR/ m4 clones I built for them. Shot gun will be a 20ga rem 1100 with mag tube extension. The kids had a ball and now America has two more gun fanatics.

Henry how do you like that millet??

for those matches where you have to stick to a single scope you can't beat the millett. I love th millett/SPR-E combo. This match, I nailled 9 targets with 11 shots at 300m, all headshots in about 70 seconds, running time included.
