I finally saw one of those tactical tomahawks some of the troops are using. My question is... WHERE DO I GET ONE? Those things look super-bad!

While they do look neat, I chuckel whenever I see them in ads. Same goes for the "covert" strikers. Basically a piece of sharpened rebar. I just don't see the reason for some of this stuff, other than novelty, but not at the prices they ask.

They do have a nice "American" feel for a close combat weapon.

I bought one of the Tomahawks from Sarco for like $15. It has a really nice wood handle.

GG&G makes a pretty sick Tomohawk for $200... SOG also has one in its fusion line for around $40

Dang, these ain't the tomahawks I saw last week, but guess the ones I saw were cruise missiles and not small axes.

On the SOG ones, just available for Christmas at Target!

Yeah, I've looked at those, but the ones I saw on the History Channel are all steel... Kind of like an Eastwing hammer design with a sharpened back-hook instead of a spike. They showed a guy opening an old car up like a can with one.

Typical 76Y. Bet your ass he's got his to take home though.
I got a secondary as 76Y cause our supply Sgt liked to take stuff and have yard sales. I gave everything we had to the troops and ordered anything they wanted, receiving most of of it, too. (Except for the mortar platoon, they never helped the supply room load out. They just got the basics.)

the woodsmans pal has a sharp hook on the back but its more of a machete than a tomahawk. they were issued way back when, someone else may know that history. it would be what i would want on hand, they are truely bada$$ and not overly expensive. woodmanspal.com has all the info.:icon_biggrin:

I have a Sog fusion. I bought it for the heck of it, and it turned out to be very handy at work. I drive a bucket truck for the cable company in the NW and nobody around here likes to trim their own trees. I have to service lines choked with branches, and the SOG cuts through them like butter.
