Today I took out both my new rifles, the CETME and M1917 Enfield. Unfortunately I forgot my digital camera at home. The CETME shoots nice groups, and after messing w/the front sight, I get it zeroed at about 150m. I was suprised by how far my CETME was flinging the brass...15-20ft! I was using de-linked 7.62 and wonder if they were loaded to a higher pressure? After shooting three mags, I let the CETME cool down and brought out the
M1917 Enfield. It shot solid groups at 150m, although it was hitting high as expected from some milsurp rifles. All in all a good trip at the range.

only 15-20 ft.? better have that looked at :icon_sad: sounds like something is broken. Just kidding, mine is good for about 30 ft at 2:00. With a little practice you can hit 2 targets at once. One in front and one to the side. :)

I'm glad you had fun and good luck with the CETME.

Mine kicks the brass quite a distance also and mine is murder on the brass but they're reknown for that, too.

My wife and I were in Prescott today and I stopped at my favorite gun shop, Prescott Valley Guns. They had imported mil 7.62 ammo but dang!.......it was $8.00 / 20 just for that crap.

I'm glad I reloaded a bunch but I sure would like some cheap chit to plink with. I guess that ain't gonna happen.

I think mine flings brass about 20-25ft also. The first day my roomate and I took the ak and cetme out to plink around he found out about its powerful ejection the hard way. Fired off my first two quickly while he was standing a few feet away and caught him in the head with one, needless to say he quickly learned to stand well back.

typically mine shucks em out 30-35'...

When I shoot off a water systern for distance, the can go a LOT farther than that. We measured one at 25 YARDS! I started canting the rifle to the left to get a nice trajectory on the cases.

Whew! Glad to hear that it was normal to launch the brass like that. I was afraid that the ammo was going to destroy the rifle!
