I plan to "thin the herd" a bit and sell off one of my CETMEs and was interested in what a fair price would be for the following package.

CETME rifle with Special Weapons Cast Stainless Steel receiver with wood furniture in like new condition / less than 10 rounds down the barrel (Everything functioned as anticipated) / Bolt gap is .013 inches with “0” rollers installed.

Comes with:
• HK claw scope mount fitting to the receiver
• Hensoldt FERO4x24 with Illuminator and Case – Was purchased new and still is in like new condition.
• Butt Stock Scope Cheek Piece
• Ten 20 round CETME magazines in like new condition
• Four 20 Round G3 aluminum magazines in good condition
• Two G3 2 cell rubber magazine pouches in good condition
• Unmarked set of +2 rollers
• Cleaning kit

Thanks,

Hmmm...I'd think around $900 or $950 maybe? You mentioned a SW receiver; was it home built or done by someone else?

Pictures are worth a thousand words, or maybe in this case dollars.

The SW receiver he's talking about is the Cast SS receiver from Century. CAI bought the cast molds from SW.

At least I assume that's the case he's tlaking about. I've never even seen a receiver marked Special Weapons.

I would think the $900-$950 mark would be about right if you sold it as a package. I think you could get more like $1100-$1200 if you broke it up. The scope and mount is still worth $400 probably.

jfowl31,

Correct on the receiver, it is St. Albans marked. Please find below a few photos of the CETME.

That package is worth at least $900 to $1,000. Did your CETME come from Century with wood or did you add the wood furniture? If you added the wood, what is the US parts count?

The wood stocks came that way from Century / AIM.

Being a St Albans rifle makes it more valuable typically. Before Century moved to Georgia VT they seemed to have their sh1t together a little better and the builds are higher quality.

That and the parts kits they were using were pick of the litter at the beginning.

With that Scope setup and everything, I'd say over $1K ESPECIALLY if you sold the rifle and scope separately.

 Dangit, thats the type of CETME I would have got had I not found my Poly M1A...so tempting right now.

The cast St. Albans are much nicer overall. The claw mount locks and stays like it should, and they had better parts like Jfowl mentioned.

My cast is the nicest of my CETMES.. I have a wood grip and carry handle to go on it.

The rifle is really nice. There is no comparison between this CETME and the later stamped CETME that I recently picked up.

Maybe...it is almost Christmas. I still haven't picked up my Polytech, its sitting at me FFL dealer's shop but he's recovering from a triple by-pass so not sure when he'll be back to do the paperwork. :icon_confused:

I wish him a speedy recovery.

I have had two heart attacks and know that the recovery process is a long road.
